This privacy policy explains how Crypto Crypto News (cryptocryptonews.com) handles personal data. We collect as little data as possible and we do not sell personal data.

1. Who is responsible (controller)

LiBrAi (sole proprietorship / eenmanszaak)
PriPost, Segment 3, Box C1940, 6921 RC Duiven, The Netherlands
Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: 42049145
Email: info@librai.nl

We are the controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, in Dutch: AVG).

2. What data we process and why

a. Server logs

When you visit this site, our hosting server automatically records technical data, such as your IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. We need this to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

b. Email contact

If you email us, we process your email address, your name (if you give it) and the content of your message, only to answer you.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your question (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), or taking steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

c. What we do not do

  • Comments are disabled on this site, so we do not collect comment data.
  • We do not run a newsletter.
  • We do not use analytics or advertising tools, and we do not track you across websites.

3. Cookies

This site only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work, such as WordPress cookies that keep site administrators logged in. Ordinary visitors do not receive tracking or advertising cookies from us. Because we only use essential cookies, we do not show a cookie consent banner.

4. Affiliate links and partner websites

Please note: some links on this site are affiliate links (see our Affiliate Disclosure). We do not set a cookie when you merely view a page with such a link. If you click an affiliate link, you go to the partner’s website (or its affiliate network). That partner or network may then place cookies or use similar techniques to record that you came from our site, so that a commission can be paid if you sign up or buy something.

That processing happens on the partner’s website and is the partner’s responsibility. Please read the partner’s own privacy and cookie policy. We do not receive your name or contact details from partners; at most we receive anonymous or aggregated reports about clicks and sign-ups.

5. Who receives your data

We use the following processors, which process personal data on our behalf:

  • STRATO GmbH (Germany, EU): website hosting, including server logs.
  • Mijndomein Hosting B.V. (the Netherlands, EU): hosting of our mailbox info@librai.nl, including emails you send us.

We have or will conclude a data processing agreement with each processor. We do not share your data with other parties, unless the law requires us to.

We aim to keep all processing within the EU. Some standard WordPress features may load small files (e.g. emoji images) from WordPress.org servers; we are working to disable these.

6. How long we keep data

  • Server logs: kept only for a short period needed for security and operation, and then deleted automatically, in line with our host’s standard settings.
  • Emails: as long as needed to handle your message, and deleted no later than 2 years after our last contact, unless we must keep them longer by law (for example, business records).

7. Security

We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures. The site is only served over an encrypted (HTTPS/SSL) connection, access to the website administration is limited and protected with strong passwords, and we keep WordPress and its plugins up to date.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have incorrect data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict the processing of your data;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
  • receive your data in a portable format (where applicable).

To use these rights, email info@librai.nl. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will reply within one month.

9. Complaints

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or with the data protection authority in your own EU country.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if anything changes, for example if we add analytics, advertising (such as Google AdSense), a newsletter or embedded content from other websites. We will do this before such tools go live, and where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent first. The date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last updated.
