I used to think “sell and buy back” two years ago, I’d inevitably lose money as a result. The biggest learning for me has been to dissociate the money that I’ve already invested from “my money”. So instead of selling when the price goes down, now the thought doesn’t cross my mind. Instead I say how much money can I spare now, that I would be able to once again dissociate from. Then I patiently wait for something to happen in the market to cause a negative price movement and I buy. While the price rapidly rises, I save my fiat waiting for the dip. This has prevented me from FOMOing in and also from panic selling.
