Disney currently has the most powerful brand equity and value in the world of entertainment by owning the intellectual property of not only its own legacy characters like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck along with all its Classic Movies like Lion King and Frozen but added new ones in the past decade.  Disney acquired the Marvel Universe and Star Wars and added them to its portfolio. 

The Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion dollars in 2009. Disney has made more than $22 billion at the global box office from its Marvel movies.
